Ever Grateful

Plains Indians were ever grateful for the abundance of buffalo, which provided for most of their needs – food, clothing, tools, and shelter. As they followed the buffalo across the Great Plains, the Tipi (made of buffalo hides) was used as temporary and portable shelter.

Only a Few Remain

Wheel thrown jar and lid, covered in layers of black slip then etched with a Buffalo roaming the plains. The finial is a Tipi sculpture and inside is a food safe Fire Engine Red glaze. One of only a few remaining wheel thrown pieces available.
